ok since i set my tank up my nitrates have been excess of 25 ppm and a not really over 35 ppm, nevertheless they should, optimally (sp?) be zero..... everything in my tank is doin fine, ive had a ball of macro in my tank about 9-10 in in diameter for about 3 months now, i just put in some other plant i have no idea what it is lol , looks like a fern...... do water changes on time, clean my filter and skimmer on time........and no matter what my nitrates consistently measure out to be at least 25 ppm........ i think im gunna switch my test kit, what brand do you guys use?

After you get a good test kit, If your still getting high levels, I would seariously consider dosing a carbon source. My life is so freaking easy now.....Half a ml of vodka......everything gets skimmed out. its excellent.
