Last night I woke to an explosion and flashing blue lights.
Yeap my heater exploded. Causing a huge electrocution to my biological colony.
All my corals are slimming and retracting, some look like they are melting and my two clams are dead.
My AMMONIA IS SPIKING.
Im doing a 200 liter water change
to keep it all alive.
Dont look good. Perfect one day FUCKED the next.
YOU HAVE TO BE FUCKEN JOKING ME

That sucks Puff,
Boss is right, at least no person got hurt. Keep us up to date on the diagnosis and hopefully your corals will pull through.

Puff! Sorry to hear about your tank! Thats very discouraging. I wish coral would make it to australia......I would send you a few sps to help out with the rebuild. Glad you and your family were not hurt, that could have ended worse than it did. Make sure when you hook up your new heater....you plug it into a GFCI. and maybe buy a titanium ground probe just incase.

Id throw some prodibio in there too, or some other bacteria booster. Im sure it did quite a job on your biological filtration.

DEATH TOLL
1 Coral banded shrimp
1 Complete colony of pods worms and hermits.
1 All snails.
2 Maxima blue clams.
Acropora and a heap of polyp corals.
My snow flake laying with his head on the side, looks very sick.
Got all the corals out that are dead.
Doing a two hundred a liter water change per day.
Ammonia keeps spiking everyday from the deaths..
No dead fish yet
