That looks like a kenyi tree. I have one in my tank.

Ha great. Thanks. I looked up pictures and it is definitely a pulsating xenia. However, I am glad jweb mentioned a kenyi tree because that was going to be my next question. I have one of those also and didn't know what it was called. So now I know both.

I just bought this established tank and those were 2 'surprises'. Being a new hobbiest I wasn't sure of the names.

Oh wow I see now. That is just a lot darker than the xenias we get here. Our xenias are stark white.

arent hte white ones pom pom xenias? Ive seen both kinds at my lfs, the ones i have are a pinkish/ brownish color.... and i dont even see a link to whatever hes trying/ tried to identify....... on a side note, my xenia love to be fed phytochrome through a turkey baster
