will a UV light get rid of phosphates - - i have bad hair algae and a monster UV not doing anything right now

no, but it will help with your algae spores. If you start pulling it out with your hand.....and your using your UV, then you would be in business. Boss, you need a sea hare. It will be gone in two weeks. :)

Yeah its reef safe. The lfs has one in his 125 and it completly devoured the stuff.

You just have to have stable water parameters.
