Hi everyone... I would love to add some shrimp to my tank.
Any suggestions on suitable species?
This is a list of my current fish:
discus
pictus catfish
bristlenose catfish
khuli loaches
neon, cardinal and rummynose tetras
pencil fish
harlequin rasboras
and a very old gourami from my very first tank ever!
Thanks!
Shrimp

I dont think any of those fish should eat the adult shrimps, but they may eat shrimp offspring if shrimps decide to breed.
If you get Amano shrimp they are really cool and easy to take care of but they wont reproduce in your tank.
If you get Cherry or Bumblebee Shrimp they can breed. Bumble bee shrimp look the nicest I think.

The best Aquarium store here in San Francisco sells Bumble bee shrimps for $12 or $15 per Shrimp. Very expensive. But I can also see how fast they multiply right in the store. They keep them separate from the fishes.
