what are the fishes that are currently in your tank and what are the fishes that have perished thus far?

if your water parameters are fine, most probably the cause would be fish compatibility. some fishes once acclimatized and settled in can be quite territorial against newcomers.

i had the same problem but the weird thing was i didnt have the problem until AFTER i moved to my new home. what i started doing was before i told my lfs helper what fish i wanted i would go over to the book rack and look up that particular fish and see whats its parameters were and their requirements. bc my lfs dont ever ask me questions or tell me this fish isnt good to keep with such and such fish or coral. they just want to make their buck and send you on your way. i do that with corals too, look them up first to make sure the fish and other coral i have wont hurt each other.

Good point, there is one guy at my LFS that i won't deal with. IF he's the only one there i will walk out. He'd sell you anything under the sun knowing damn well it isnt' compatible.

I've had 1 diamond goby, 1 green chromis and 2 bangai cardinal that perished. None of them ever ate and seemed stressed after a day in the tank. the goby simply disapeared once i added it.

motor,

other than trying a different supplier {which it sounds like you did} if everything is right on then i would say maybe look at your acclimation practices and if anything over acclimate when adding them.................if you shock em into their new home they could very well live a week or more before dieing......................

howed the new fish work out????

ask your lfs to hold a fish......let it sit in his tank for a week.....put a down payment on the fish.......then go from there. Be sure to observe how it is swimming and how alert and active it is.

anthias are hard as hell to keep. we talked about that at the reef club meeting yesterday. That could be part of it. The same with the regal tang........Those are all hard fish to keep...so maybe thats why. Have you had your house sprayed for bugs lately?
