Phytoplankton Farming :)

Soooo. I started cultivating phyto plankton. Pretty straightforward and easy to do as long as you care for your cultures. :) I posted pics. Im making 5 gallons at a time......its easier than dealing with a bunch of little 2 liter bottles......questions....ask away. corals are LOVING it. skimmer processes it after a few hours. just enough to let the corals eat.

Did you buy culture disc's or are you using DTs..how long have you been doing this for ?

saltwater an air pump and culture....thats it. Well a dab of miracle grow. I used a little bit of miracle grow liquid form. Just the initial batch needs it.......after that you can use it to help out a little.....but dont overdose.

what abt zoo plankton? do people "farm" them too?

yeah. you can. Im thinking about setting up my 2.5 gallon to do just that. :) They will eat your phtyo.

so u need to farm the phyto to farm the zoo.. is there any process to do this?
