from what ive heard over the years ..........clowns as a rule don't care for other species of clowns...........especially the Maroons and Tomatoes...........BUT.........they will usually always get along with other species and numbers if they are close to the same size and added at the same time. In a 29 i wouldn't add more than 3 fish at once and very small ones at that {like under one inch each}
if you already have a clown in your tank and he's pretty established, he may never accept another one of the same or different species, but it does happen at times...................

always remember the clowns are Damsels in fancy clothes............lol

I have two true percs {best coloration and personality IMO} but wouldn'tadd another one for fear of them beating it up
