square footage wise if you figure te upstairs its actually tripling the size plus a little, original house was 672 sq ft and this is 1989 sq ft

our goal is to be in by April 1st............but thats pretty tight, we're not done with winter here yet so a couple good storms could through us into late april pretty quick................as im doing 95% of the finishing myself..................our budget is just to tight to hire much more out, i already did the excavation and foundation work myself

Hey boss...thats looking awesome. I can't believe how much bigger your house is going to be, fantastic! What a lot of work, but its looking great!

Nice job snow. Lookin good. But one question. Where do you live that you were able to do concrete work in the snow, without hoarding? Up here in Saskatchewan, you'd better hoard any concrete work between Oct and March. Of course, around here we can get into -30 C temperatures during that time.

im in upstate NY we had it mixed with hot water and 2%calcium and had about 16 hours above freezing when we poured {not much above but above}

thanks everyone for the coments, this is a huge project and im doing most of the work by myself

but i'm lovin it for sure ................i'll be sittin in my recliner whatchin my new tank and be able to smile and say "I did this with my own hands" just like my great grandfather did 50 years ago in the same house

main floor between the living room and dining room , if i buy a tank it will be see through, but i may end up building one and if that happens it will have glass on the living room side only because starfire glass is crazy expensive..........al plumbing will run through the floor and i will have a "tank room" in the basement for filtration sumps, refugium, QT tanks and eventually some frag tanks

Looks promising boss, how costly is that foam spray insulation in comparison to the good old fiberglass crap..? Seems like its kinda becoming vogue.

considerably higher ..........1500 sq ft of foam was 3600.00 and 10" of fiber glass would have been about 1900.00

we couldn't afford to do the walls with the foam but you get the biggest bang for the buck in the cieling as 72% of all heat and cooling lose is through the roof

the savings are that the foam is 80% more effiecient and i probably cut my heating and cooling costs by a third easily possably more
