does anyone know the best way to clean fake corals? the fish store ownew told me to add them to some bleach with hot water for about 30 min and then give them a good rinse with cold water, is this ok for a fowlr tank?

Throw it out and get some real coral...hehe.....bleach will work better for algae, viniger will work for calcium build up..don't forget to clean pumps every 6 months!!

your pumps will take 15 min to clean..if you dont the ca build up will destroy the pumps in time..

So true.. I clean my powerheads every other month. I always clean the outside part in saltwater, so the coralline will stay. If it's heavily loaded with coraline I'll use the following.Drop the intake and prop. into some vinegar/water mix for an hour or so,and I don't even have to scrap, just rinse and good to go.
Saltwaterpimp talks like an expert, what is the wrong with him? lol
Bleach is the best for fake corals IMO, and you can also boil the bleach out in like 15 minutes.
COME ON MAN! YOU GOTTA HAVE REAL ONES IN THERE!!!! :-)
