yeah I use one on my teeth so I can avoid dental cleanings that cost $ 200.00 I never thougt of using it to clean my corals. Excellent idea I already read the article I subscibe to reefhobbyist

i saw a tank once where the guy hung an osolating fan upsidedown in his canopy, took the fan off and strapped a piece of PVC pipe to the fan and then a power head to the other end in the tank, turns it on and has a big sweep power head for wave currents

yeah, it'd be great for blow off hair algae from live rock( small amount).or clean the aquarium glass where you can't reach it. I haven't tried one yet though.
