dude.......i do well to keep my clowns and crabs alive..........lol
i have no expierience with corals or clams....all i have been doing lately is reading on corals , aquascapeng and custom filtration design............
although I have a special place picked out in my big tank design to showcase a big MAC one of these days
i would say if it's a clam, you should be able to catch it open at some point in time, they can't live forever closed.......no??

I don't want to be smart but it looks like an oyster to me. I've never seen a clam with a "zic-zac" mouth. Pretty nice though, no matter what it is.

Yeah i have not seen a zig zag mouth either, just had a nice colour to the mouth similar to clams. Getting my hopes up i think. I actually contemplated buying a clam the other day, but coud not bring my self to spending $170 bucks on it. Maybe another daY.

Dick headers is right ...zigzag oyster or....cocks comb oyster..lol what a name i had a web page saved with the identical oyster but i can't find it.. or try Hippopus hippopus clam.
