I have a 125 fowler w/ 125 or so lbs of live rock. I have 4000 quietone ( 50 watts) that pumps the skimmer and the return which pumps 1017 gph (supposedly which i think it doesn't).I also have Koralia #4 (11.5 watts) pumps 1200 gph in the center of the tank. Right side has a Sunsun JVP202B ( 25 watts )pumps 2800gph and feels twice much flow than the koralia. I purchase another Sunsun JVP202B for the left side and its being ship as I speak. That's about 6800 gph. Right now its @ 5000 gph and my fishes are very active unlike before. They are hardly going where there's no pump..here the pics
1st right side pump , 2nd and 3rd are middle pump , 4th is future location of Sunsun.
I bought the Sunsun pump on ebay .

can never have too much flow for your fish? think how many billions of gallons flow through a square foot of ocean each hour.

DH and Bertie , thx
I have installed the 3rd pump on the left side. I have to say , I am impress by the SUNSUN pump. There's drawback that I encounter .When the impeller rotates the wrong way , it makes a load noise hence you can't use it w/ wavemaker controller.Anyway, My fishes are more active than ever and I don't have anymore deadspot. If GPH are accurate, my water circulation is 7800GPH +/-..

I actually have crush corals and some sand in there. When I pointed it down , the pump did blow away the sand and crush corals and you were able to see the bottom of the tank.

you say one pump is occasionally noisy? one of my 10,000 lphs was, so i turned down its flow rate a little, that seemed to work. if i understand your problem correctly, the impeller is not spinning true when it makes the noise? just a thought....... :)
fish love that flow huh? when i installed the two 10,000's (making total 42,000lph ) it was like having new fish too lol.......... the eac duuuude!
