Is my GSP expanding?

if it overlaps to much you could loose part of the colony..N/J..i dont know what it looks like under those polyops but dont let em mound to much..

I meant the bump on the top of the mat. I've had several GSPs, but they usually expanded onto another nearby rock, or even on the sand or glass. I've never see this bump thing before.

it's normal thats just keep an eye on em so they dont start growing over the other poyops, it is a very healthy colony , you may be forced to cut that thing off..you could also , go to the edge of the polyops and make a small surface cut with a razor,try to hoaks them to grow out instead of up.

i would frag the middle a bit... i just did that not that long ago to my GSP and some blue clove polyps... they will grow over the older matt and then it will rott... not good... i like to frag pieces of the middle off to give it space to stretch and new growth... i also do that to all of my polyp rocks...
