Timing my Lights ?
Right now I am experementing with diffrent times that my lights are on. I am running 2 T5 HO's. One is a 18000k the other is 6500k, and I run them on from 11:00 am - 5:30 pm. The other light assembly has 2 T10 Actintic 03 blue 20W bulbs. I run those from 7:00 am - 11:00 am, and on again at 5:00 pm - 10:30 pm theres a total of 118 Watts right now. If you read my profile I'm going to be upgrading soon. Just wanted a heads up on when the best times are to run my lights. Trying so simulate the cycles of daylight that actually occur in real life.

i would back off the actinics somewhat, i know it looks sweet . but not needed. moon light will simulate lunar cycles moreso then actinics. save your light man. your actinic should come on an hour or 2 before day lights come on then shut off an hour or two after day lights shut off

So I timed the Actintics to 9:00 am - 11:00 am and 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm so that should be ok. How about the Daylight cycle though it's only on from 11:00 am - 5:30 pm is that enough HO light exposure time for the photo proccess. Is 10 hours of artificial light enough light for the photo period.

actinics on at 9:00 am.........daylight on at 11:00 am..daylight off at 5:30...actinics off at 7:30...do you shut the actinics off during the day ? 10 hrs can be to much depending on what you have...

yeah the actinics only run during the hours posted, and not during the day. During the day my T5's are going they only put out 78 Watts total though. I am running 1 18,000K T5, and 1 6500k T5.
