i'd love to use Lugol's solution for Iodine/iodide replecament in my nano, but they recommend 1 drop/25G. Damn!

I have never checked Strontium but have read about it and was curious but after reading that strontium levels in Oceanic salt were ok and I do small daily water changes, I never went so far as to buy a test kit.

If you really want to use Lugols. Use a cup and fill it with tank water. Add a drop of Lugols to the cup and mix it up. If your nano is 12 gallons, pour about half of the cup of the mixed Lugols/tankwater solution.

Yeah, but you know that's what they all say about calcium, magnesium etc.. Everytime I check the water parameters in the fresly mixed ( about 4 hours later) saltwater, I always have to adjust the calcium and Mg.
Your livestock probably appreciate the fresh daily trace elements though..
