It's weird how such a simple design that can't pump water over it's gills unless it's swimming can end up existing so long.

I'm going to stroke my ego here, but the gars I have are similar in many ways. They have underdeveloped gills and a specialised swim bladder and actually surface repeatedly to gulp air into their bladders which are vascularised to be able to act like a lung. They are a very ancient species that haven't changed much since dinosaur times.

i think we humans tend to overcomplicate things to much . . . . i think God or whatever type of creator you chose to believe in including evolution is a very simple concept {the old kiss theory} evolution is all about adapting not complicating, tempurature of the world changes, we lost hair on our bodies............electriicty always takes the path of least resistance {usually through one your elctrical components, LMAO, sorry couldn't resist bud} but again very simple...........probably the reason the species of Gar will far outlast us humans who in our small little minds think we are saveing and controlling them, lol we are such stupid creatures

I agree. I think nature is awsome and that eveolution and the laws of nature show us that the physical world is evidence of God or whatever with it's amazing life processes.

Yea. That's a pretty cool tatoo. My cult used to have pics of Baphomet, a goat god with fire coming off the top of his head and breasts and a big erection. The breasts part is weird, but the rest is cool. I never worshipped anything but I like some yogies up in the Himalayas, who supposedly know Jesus as a friend etc etc.
