Well the ones im looking at would only cost 300 bucks for 300+ watts of light. For a metal halide your looking at double or triple that easy. Just wanted to see what you guys though. :)

look on ebay for Halide shop lights, they are the ones that have a 45 bevel on them for adjustment. Get your self some of those, usually less than 20 each, mount them on a plank of wood, connect up to a power point, add some marine kelvin bulbs and there you have a diy halide setup that in shops would cost $1000 plus, u made it for less than $150
