Bummer. I want to get a 55 gallon salt tank set up and just grow live rock for a while. I've got a skimmer, and lights.

Ha ha aha. Yep, I have most everything, even a 5 gallon tub of salt for salt aquariums and a hydoeter, or whatever you use to tell how much salt you have in the water. I have to make some room for the tank. I want it in my bedroom as most of my other tanks are, but the space I could put it isn't quite big enough.

Maybe I'll start off with a 20 gallon and get the live rock going there. Then after a few months I may find some room for the 55 with cabinet.

i would get a 100g tank...

today i spent 65 bucks on 3 fish and a rock... lol... i love saltwater...

I have a 100 gallon tank and when I move my gars to a biggr tank I can go salt in there. I just wanted to get some live rock going and not invest too much $$$ into this, at least not for a few months anyway.

you could make your own rock at a fraction of the price...

you could also use lace rock... i'm using live rock in my tank now too...

um... lace rock is that rock that the LFS sells... usually for 99cents a lb... it's usually grey and jagged and shit...

but i think i'm going to make my own rock pretty soon...
