ok im not an old dog in this hobby but i did learn a new trick - - - -i had no idea where different matierals in a filter made a difference - - - -i have a 110 gph HOB filter on my 20long . . . and i did have the sponge then the mech media and then the carbon bag - - - -i had to replace the sponge and carbon so i put the sponge in, then the new carbon bag and then the original mech bag back on the top this time - - over night my water went from resonably clean - - -to crystal clear, i have never seen it this clean - - i was actually thinking about upgradeing to a different filter sytem until now - - - -i guess that money can go into a bigger tank now eh???? lol

i think if you get an intervention now, you might not go thru the whole i have no friends, wife, family, house, or possessions because i have to keep buying MOAR tanks and fish...
