porcupine puffer eating
Hey i just added a porcupine puffer to my 125 today. The puffer is only about 3 inches long. I tried to feed it a tail of a silver side, but he did not want to eat it. I think it might have to be part of just being new to the tank, but will he normally eat this? I heard that they are eating machines. So should I wave the food in front of his face, or should i just drop the food onto the sand bed?

I.too, have a porcupine puffer in a 125. It took 3 days before it started eating. I am feeding the puffer mussels from the grocery store. It eats 3 to 4 pieces of mussels a day and looks pregnant after its meal..

I had a porcupine for about 3 years. He was approx. 8 inches when he died. He loved raw shrimp pieces.
