I have a couple of Otocinclus in a tank with a Betta. I've decided that they are the most boring fish in the universe. My Betta just held up a sign that said "The ugly dudes are a drag, and they can't carry their end of a conversation."
I imagine an otocinclus' thoughts to go like this:
"In.....about.....5.......hours......I'm
.......going......to........move.......over......there. I.....think....."
Zzzzzzz

LoL Z! I LOVE my otos! have you ever looked closely at their noses? Mine have white noses I think they're so cute. Mine seem to be more active though and actually swim around sometimes and try to mingle with the yoyos. They're doing a great job with the algae and I only have 2 in my 35 gal! Happy as clams!

Angelfish are really nice but they're too agressive for me.
I just reclaimed a few HUGE mosquito fish I put in my step fathers pond a couple months ago. They're enormous compaired to the size they'll get in my tanks and I want to have a mess of fry. There's got to be hundreds of fry inside this one big one. Right now things are pretty interesting in this 35 gallon heavely planted tank. I have a 3.5 inch female tilapia that's holding eggs, and I've already removed the male as he was not only beating up on her but would eat any fry that get produced.
I'd like a few discus but I'm debating that this may be too small a tank for them. Angels aren't totally out of the question, like a miniature variety possibly, but I really love diskus.
Anyone know if there's such a thing as a dwarf diskus, something like 5 inches when adults? I think 2-3 Yoyo loaches might be nice too.
This 35 gallon long tank has a huge 175 gallon capability canister filter with a sponge filter on the intaks as well as a powerhead/sponge filter combo for extra biological, mechanical filtration, and air venturi so I don't have to worry about there being too many fish at this point. As long as everyone has their hiding places among the plants and wood stumps and things are peaceful.

It was that guy who sold me a 100 gallon with cabinet, a 60 with cabinet, and a truck load of other tanks, filters, pumps, etc. I got it all for $240!
I've also found lots of nice equipment and things like a 6 inch giant clam shell in aquarium store garbages. I guess it had died and they threw it away, but it looks really cool as decoration in one of my tanks.
I'm also kind of a pack rat.
