I was recently using Ich medication that turned the water a yellowish color and my color tests were useless until it cleared up. I had the same problem with some driftwood stain. My pH test was reading blue, which isn't even an option on the color chart.
I used test strips at first and they were really unreliable.

you know liquid tests is all that i have ever used, so mabey i am just used to it goes like cloclwork now
