Otocinclus (auto SINK luss) is a genus of the armored catfish family (Loricariidae). Oto = ear; cinclus = a latticework; an allusion to the holes in the head in the region of the ear. The Common Names of fish are Dwarf Sucker, Oto & Little Monkeys. The fish have rows of armour plating covering body, underslung suckermouth. Natively, the fish originate in South America.
