Description: 30 gallon/115 litre Oase freshwater tank, set up in Sep 2020. 2x LED strip lights set to run over a 7 hour period with some overlap to prevent algae growth. Advice: Plan ahead! Consider doing a mood board before you commit. Research your purchases and consider what you want your aquarium to look like. The advances in tech & equipment vs when I started the hobby over 30 years ago are amazing. If you are going to add plants, consider CO2 to get the best out of them. Take time to enjoy your investment.
Fish Kept: Cardinal Tetra, Red Eye Tetra, Adolfoi Cory Cat, Pario-Ancistrus Pleco (L-048), German Blue Ram, Dwarf Rainbow Fish
Corals/Plants: Buchephalandra Kedagang; Microsorum on bogwod; Anubius in bogwood; Anubius bonsai; Lobelia cardinalis; Amazon sword; Dwarf amazon sword; Pogostemon helferi; Marimo moss balls
Tank Size: 30 gallons
Quote: Water changes!
About Yourself: Recently taken up the hobby after a 15-year hiatus. After keeping Oscars previously, I took inspiration from planted aquaria I saw on various websites. Now my set-up is 90+ days old it's looking really good. It's very rewarding to see it take shape and relaxing to just sit & observe after a day's work.
